Measuring the impact of offshore windfarm construction on marine life is an essential part of offshore wind energy. It is hugely important we are able to identify how subsea life has stabilised once a windfarm is completed and fully functioning.

We at HBC understand our social and environmental responsibilities and would like to thank IfAÖ for choosing to partner with HBC for this marine biology survey in the German offshore wind sector.

Well done to our vessel and ROV teams who enabled the successful completion of the project which included sample grabs, trawl dredging and video surveillance.

Thank you to the IfAÖ team for their professionalism and excellent cooperation and communication.

Also, a personal thanks to Holger Geldner, head of Marine Coordination at IfAÖ for his much-appreciated positive feedback.

“HBC is an extremely reliable and professional partner in the offshore sector. We are very satisfied with their cooperation and grateful for the support of the entire HBC team.”

He further commented that “the employees of HBC were always attentive and made every effort to ensure that the project ran smoothly,” and that “all of HBC’s occupational health and safety processes complied with IfAÖ and the client’s specifications – HBC also has excellent personnel for HSE processes.”
