A diving crew from Hyperbaric Consult was very efficient and competent in the repairing process, despite the fact that in this part of the region of the East Irish Sea the tidal range can reach 9 meters and there is a very strong current.
“In the very limited diving window of 2-3 hours, the diving crew needed 8 diving sessions to prepare the excess cable. A team of riggers on the foundation platform assisted them by operating the winch and pulling in the cable”
We only managed to pull this off because the team members understood that this was an unusual situation and needed over hours.
